The “Easy A” chick flick on recently at the movies, was surprisingly good. When watching this movie it is worthwhile to compare it to the storyline of Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlet Letter" who has an adulterous affair and has to wear a red letter “A” on her dress. The Scarlet Letter is a very famous classic book written by Nathaniel Hawthorne and set in America in the 17th century. The Scarlet Letter is also a 1995 American film adaptation starring Demi Moore.
That's quite an insight you had there on the origin of the movie's title. Perhaps you're right and it's derived from the Prynne's story. We should mail Hollywood and settle this for sure.
